Here’s a refreshing summer drink to help beat the summer heat in New England. With only three ingredients, it is delicious and packs a healing punch!
Watermelon: it is cold and sweet; quenches thirst, relieves irritability, dispels summer heat problems, promotes diuresis and detoxifies. *
Lime/Lemon: it is cool and sour in taste; helps to regenerate body fluids, harmonize the Stomach, regulate QI and quenches thirst. *
Mint: it is cool and pungent; disperse wind-heat, soothes the Liver, and alleviate mental depression. *
1 cup diced watermelon
Juice of one lime or lemon
5 leaves of fresh mint
1 cup water
Put all ingredients in a blender, blend and enjoy!
